Stephen Velovski is the director and Principal Physiotherapist at Alexandria Physiotherapy and Sports Injury. Since graduating in 2007 from the University of Sydney with a Masters of Physiotherapy, Stephen has worked across a number of elite sports including St. George and Sydney Olympic soccer teams in the NSW Premier League Competition, NSW Schoolboys Rugby League and the South Sydney Rabbitohs NRL and NYC squads. He counts as a career highlight being part of the 2014 Rabbitohs Premiership winning team.
In 2016, Stephen along with Eddie Farah established Redfern Physiotherapy & Sports Medicine, which after 4 years is one of the leading multidisciplinary clinics in the inner city area. With this success, they decided to take their unique skills to the wider community by opening a second clinic in the heart of Alexandria.
Stephen has a keen interest in the treatment of shoulder and hip/groin pain and specialises in screening and return to sports programs. From an early age, he was destined to become a physiotherapist having undergone numerous rehabilitation programs for his own injuries. Stephen’s goal is to provide the same level of care that a professional athlete receives to the general population and people of all ages. In addition to his degree, Stephen has continued his professional development completing pelvic and thoracic courses taught by the internationally recognised LJ Lee, his Level 2 Sports Physiotherapy certificate as well as various dry needling courses.
Stephen was a competitive soccer player for more than 20 years and has since taken up cycling. You can usually find him around the streets of Sydney’s inner city, inner west and Eastern suburbs at the crack of dawn.
