Dougal Hicks is a physiotherapist from Bond University with a passion in sports injuries. He is the current head physiotherapist for the Sydney University Rugby Club in the Shute Shield competition for the colts, and the U16 and U18 Development teams at the South Sydney Rabbitohs.
During his studies at Bond University, Dougal was a physiotherapy assistant at the Bond University Bull Sharks rugby union team in the QLD Hospital Cup competition, with the highlight of his studies including a 10-week physiotherapy internship with the Chiefs Super Rugby Franchise in Hamilton, New Zealand.
Prior to his post graduate work, Dougal studied his undergraduate degree at Sydney University where has interned with the Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs and played rugby for Eastern Suburbs Rugby Union. Some previous work has included being a strength and conditioning coach at The Kings School in North Parramatta and the Shore School in North Sydney prior to moving to the Gold Coast.
Outside of physiotherapy Dougal enjoys watching both rugby union and NRL as well as playing golf and tennis. He also enjoys going back to home to Wagga Wagga in his downtime to catch up with family.
